MAY 2008
As this is being written, it is gloomy outside and looks like it could rain at any moment. This seems to be the typical weather pattern... rain, a few days of sun, rain, a few days of sun, etc. Planting row crops has sure been a challenge!
We have finished calving for this year and had a successful time despite an abundance of snow and mud. We are in the process of submitting birth data for this year's calves and continue to evaluate the growth and performance of the calves and their mothers, also.
The cattle industry is a consumer driven market. Profitability for the cattle producer depends on producing a desirable product at the least cost. Consumers at every level want a quality product and producing a quality product doesn't just happen, it takes management and forethought.
Similar to our customers, we are in the process of selecting sires for next year's calf crop. Selecting the right sire for your herd takes time and data. We have the data for our cattle and are willing to take the time to help you find a sire that fulfills your herd's needs.
Thanks for your interest in our cattle and we welcome your inquiries and visits. We are honored by the confidence and loyalty our new and repeat patrons have in our cattle.
