JANUARY 2008
As the calendar changes to a new year, we pause to reflect on the previous year and consider the upcoming year. While 2007 presented many variables from weather conditions to market prices, the year was rather typical.
Fortunately we haven't had any more ice storms, however, we have been dealing with some extremely cold temperatures. There have been a few mornings when it was warmer at the South Pole than here! The idea of positive double-digit temperatures is a cause for celebrating a heat wave!!
Cattle work this time of year involves feeding, checking water and giving booster shots. We usually think of January as being less busy, especially compared to February with the Iowa Beef Expo and calving starting in mid-February.
If you are looking for bulls or females, check out the data posted on our website or contact us. All animals are sold private treaty. We have begun bull sales already, so if you are in the market to purchase a bull, we encourage you to start looking early while our selection is the largest.
Thanks for your interest in our cattle and we welcome your inquiries and visits. We are honored by the confidence and loyalty our new and repeat patrons have in our cattle.
