JANUARY 2007
Happy New Year! We have to keep looking at the calendar to remind ourselves that it is January and winter -- our first measurable snow (less than 1 inch) came on December 31. We are still being spoiled by mild temperatures, but that will certainly change when calving season starts!!
We continue to evaluate the peformance, growth, disposition and soundness of the breeding stock we have selected to offer for sale or to use ourselves. If you are looking for bulls or females, check out the data posted on our website or contact us. Everything is sold private treaty on a first come, first served basis, so it is to your advantage to look early.
We are in the midst of preparing for our 2007 Spring Preview and Patron Appreciation on January 27 from 10 am to 2 pm. During January we also give all the cows booster shots in preparation for calving which will begin in mid-February.
The Iowa Beef Expo is quickly approaching. We are really excited about our two consignments (LONS 69S AND LONS 5S) which will sell on February 14, 2007.
Thanks for your interest in our cattle and we welcome your inquiries and visits.
