DECEMBER 2009
As we look out the window, we are definitely aware it is winter in Iowa. We have braved two big snowstorms and are now surrounded by some impressive snow drifts. At this point, only a few inches of snow and a little wind will have our roads impassable again.
Cattle work this time of year involves feeding, checking water and giving booster shots. We are also busy trying to prepare for our annual Spring Preview and Patron Appreciation to be held on January 30. So far, our efforts have been hindered due to the snow, but we are optimistic about a January "thaw". We never know what to expect for weather -- warm weather or cold and blustery! No matter the weather, we enjoy the opportunity to visit with our patrons and look at cattle.
If you are looking for bulls or females, check out the data posted on our web site or contact us. All animals are sold private treaty. We have begun bull sales already, so if you are in the market to purchase a bull, we encourage you to start looking early while our selection is the largest.
Thanks for your interest in our cattle and we welcome your inquiries and visits. We are honored by the confidence and loyalty our new and repeat patrons have in our cattle.
Wishing you a happy and prosperous 2010!
William and Sarah
